The internship in Malta ended two weeks ago and have had time to reflect what the stay gave me. First of all loads of photos to go through… the slideshow below has pics from the islands Malta, Comino and Gozo.

It’s been already a week since the internship ended and I’ve been busy at Finland, but did find some time to make instructions about the game for Klaus and write this post.
I was pretty happy that we managed to get the game to work quite well just before we flew back home. The last week was really busy with all kind of database stuff etc. Continue reading “Mission accomplished”
Our internship is now officially over. Yesterday we had our last workday and you can see from the picture below how hard we were still working:
Our stay here in Malta has been great so far. We are buzy working on our project, Timo coding, Maria and me creating art for the game. We are checking out sights every now and then and in between having of course something to eat and drink.
Here some pics from Blue Lagoon, Valletta, San Anton Garden, Ta’Xbiex, Bugibba
We are soon halfway through the internship and finally the planning stage of the project is over and the production can begin with full speed. Continue reading “Execution begins”
Last two days our group of four has been planning together the game we are to work on. Laptops but also paper and pens when “the knights of the round table” in Malta are making plans how to proceed.
We had a meeting in Headstart with Klaus today and brainstormed about our game project.
We have now been here over a week and one starts to get used to live and work here. Our team has started working on our project, now each one is working on own tasks, but planning together what comes up next.
Today we met Klaus second time and discussed about the project we will start. We also met Irina who will join our project, so now we have two coders and two graphic artists.
Timo gave a good description of the first days since we arrived in Malta. Here a pic from our daily drinking water trip.
It’s been interesting to dive into an island with a slighty different culture than we are used to in Finland. The tropical warm breeze that greeted us when getting off the airplane, told me that the longsleeved t-shirts in my luggage would not be needed for a while. Sun and warm weather, not complaining, so summer is still on.
It might take some time to get used to the left-hand side traffic here, but we are quick learners.
It’s already Sunday and day four at Malta as I’m writing this.
We arrived on Thursday evening, got a ride from the airport to our apartment and the keys from our driver Mario. Continue reading “Arrival”
